BUNTING WORKSHOP

WOMENS WORKSHOP

Grace House, working with the carers and

parents of disabled children. A wall hanging was made showing everyone's house. Each piece is individually made by each family

Bunting working shops with the Sangeni ladies, The elderly women struggled to use a needle and threads so fabric glue came out.

The Women's Workshop was run on zoom during covid. Each lady received a sewing box with sewing implements. Weekly zoom sessions to share ideas and techniques.

LIVE SEWING WORKSHOPS

LIVE SEWING WORKSHOPS are very similar to live drawing classes, except instead of a life model, there's a beautiful community garden full of colour.

Group wanders around the garden and finds a piece, flower, area, or plant which inspires them. Using the various textiles and fabrics, then creating a picture using applique techniques or layering.

Everyone can work together in the polytunnel or find a peaceful area in the garden to stitch.

Friendships can be made, but everyone is encouraged to leave their problems at the door. This is their time to focus on themselves and work with gorgeous fabrics, learn new skills
